Sign up to Attend the Fall 2024 Convocation Ceremony
The University is happy to welcome back alumni to a future convocation ceremony if they were unable to attend their regularly scheduled convocation ceremony. Returning alumni will not receive a diploma at the ceremony and will not be in the ceremony program as these were part of your convocation. You will be able to rent a gown, invite guests, and have your name called as you walk across the stage.
A special form - Sign up to Attend a Future Convocation Event - exists in Quest to collect your interest. Use this form to let the University know that you wish to attend the next convocation ceremony, scheduled for October 25-26, 2024:
- Log in to Quest.
- Select the Academics tile.
- Select the Attend Future Convocation link from the left.
By indicating that you are interested in coming to the ceremony, we will be able to communicate important convocation information, including how to register for the ceremony by reserving tickets. You can change your mind at any time.
- Prior to the deadline, you can update the form as needed.
- Ensure your email address is correct; it will be used for all communications.
- The degree selected will determine your ceremony date and time.
The deadline below is when the form will close, however, communications for Fall 2024 Convocation ceremonies will begin in August 2024, therefore we recommend that you complete the form before September 1, 2024. If you fill out the form after communications have begun and have missed some information, all pertinent details are available at uwaterloo.ca/convocation.
