In-ceremony photography

The University of Waterloo arranges for a professional photographer to take each graduating student's photograph during their ceremony. Complimentary proofs will be automatically mailed to the graduate’s Mail Type address on Quest in the weeks following the ceremony. There is no obligation to purchase. You'll be offered the option of ordering from several packages. If you haven't received your proofs within one month of your convocation ceremony, contact the photographer directly at 1-800-372-3686 or visit GradImages.

Note: To ensure that the photo proofs may be mailed, the University will release your name and mailing address to GradImages. You can opt out of receiving the photo proofs by emailing convocation@uwaterloo.ca.

Looking for your in-ceremony photos from a past ceremony?

Lifetouch Prestige Photography

Portrait sessions are arranged and managed directly by Lifetouch Prestige Photography, not University of Waterloo administration. If you have questions about the portrait session process, please email Lifetouch directly: waterlooquestions@lifetouch.com.

Portrait sessions and class photos can be arranged through Lifetouch Prestige Photography located in the lower level of the Student Life Centre (SLC) for students from:

Faculty of Mathematics
Some graduate studies programs (please email before making an appointment to ensure we have the proper regalia for your program)
Attention PhD students: To save you the $150 rental fee for renting a gown on your own, we now have one in the studio, please feel free to schedule an appointment at anytime available on our schedule

To schedule an appointment, contact Lifetouch Prestige Photography. If you have questions, send an email message to waterlooquestions@lifetouch.com. The studio is closed June to August, and will reopen in September.

Class composites

Note: Both spring and fall convocation class composites are the same, we only make one composite per major, per year. So, if you would like to be on your class composite, ensure to book an appointment before the deadline, and before your final term on campus. The deadline for the Faculty of Mathematics is February 28, 2025. You can visit the Lifetouch website for more information on a final deadline.

If you would like to be on your class composite, ensure to book an appointment before the deadline* for your Faculty, and before your final term on campus.

*The deadline for the Faculty of Engineering is Feb 21, 2025. The deadline for all other faculties is February 28, 2025. These are the last dates to be included in 2025 composites.
