What is socio-demographic data?
Socio-demographic data includes key aspects of your identity:
- Disability
- Gender
- Sexual identity
- Racial identity
- Religion/Spiritual Affiliation
Why participation matters
In 2021, students at the University completed an equity survey, which contributed to improvements in areas such as:
- Counselling services, including culturally specific support
- Accessible course accommodations
- Diverse food service options
- Athletic programming (including sports like cricket)
- Inclusive washrooms
- Course and final examination scheduling that respect days of observance
Participation is voluntary
You are encouraged but not required to provide this information, and you can update or delete your data at any time by selecting “prefer not to answer” in Quest.
