Grants are available to full-time Faculty of Arts graduate students enrolled in the Industrial/Organization program in the Department of Psychology at the University of Waterloo who are in their first year and wish to participate in a research/academic conference.
Program
An award, valued at $25,000, will be provided annually to a full-time, woman-identifying undergraduate or graduate student engaged in Velocity.
Undergraduate and graduate students participating in the Al & Data Science Challenge Events who win first, second or third-place in the challenge are eligible to receive an award valued between $250 and $1,000.
Several bursaries, valued at $500 - $3,500 each, will be awarded annually to full-time graduate students enrolled in the Masters program in the School of Architecture who are in good academic standing and have financial need.
The Provost’s Distinguished Inclusivity Doctoral Entrance Award aims to remove barriers and support the participation of students from equity-deserving groups that have been historically underrepresented. Awards, valued at up to $10,000, will support students entering a doctoral program in any Faculty from one of the following groups: women-identifying students enrolled in programs wherein women are underrepresented, Black, Indigenous students, and students with disabilities.
An award valued at $500 will be awarded annually to a graduate student in the Master of Engineering program who has demonstrated academic excellence.
One award valued at $1,000, will be awarded annually to a doctoral student who is registered full-time or part-time in the Faculty of Engineering and has successfully completed their comprehensive exam.
One award, valued at $1,000, will be provided annually to a full-time graduate student registered in any year of the Master of Architecture program in the School of Architecture.
A University of Waterloo Graduate Studies Fund has been established in Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs (GSPA) to (i) administer contributions received under the Senate Graduate Scholarships program and designated to graduate studies, (ii) to serve as a general account for funds donated for graduate studies without specific administrative requirements and (iii) to create a graduate scholarship fund to honour the memory of people associated with the university, i.e., alumni, faculty, friends, retirees, and staff.
A bursary, valued at approximately $1,500, will be awarded annually to a full-time graduate student enrolled in a master's or doctoral program in the Faculty of Engineering.
