Supervisory Relationships and Self Advocacy

Your relationship with your supervisor is one of the most influential aspects of your graduate experience.

A strong, collaborative connection with your supervisor can shape your academic success, research progress, and overall well-being.

In this interactive session, you’ll gain insight into:

• Understanding the roles, responsibilities, and expectations in the supervisor–student relationship

• Strategies for building clear communication and mutual respect

• Navigating challenges and resolving conflicts constructively

• Developing self-advocacy skills to help you thrive during graduate school and in your future career

Whether you’re just starting your program or looking to strengthen your current relationship, this workshop will provide practical tools to help you create a positive and productive partnership with your supervisor.

This is an in-person event. A free pizza dinner will be provided.
