Mitacs Globalink Research Award: $6,000 International Research Opportunity in Germany, France, and Japan

Are you interested in traveling the world while conducting research? Then enter the Mitacs Globalink Research Award (GRA) program!

The Mitacs GRA program supports research collaborations between Canada and other international organizations. Successful candidates will conduct a 1-2 month research project in another country under the supervision of a host professor. This award is valued up to $6,000.

Some countries include:

  • Germany (FZJ Helmholtz Association)
    • Themes: All disciplines, but focus on information, energy, and bioeconomy
  • France (Université Côte d’Azur) 
    • Themes: All disciplines
  • Japan (National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology [AIST]) 
    • Themes: All disciplines, but focus on Advanced Networking and Cyberinfrastructure, Artificial Intelligence, Continuum Computing, Cyberphysical System, Cybersecurity, Human Centered Mobility, Human Informatics and Interactions, Immersive Visualization and Analytics, Robotics
  • And more!

This award is available to senior undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows. Students of all disciplines (ie. Fine Arts, Accounting and Artificial Intelligence) are welcomed to join.

Deadline: Depends on the organization. Some are due soon (ie. May 2022), while others are open year round.
