Waterloo Cases in Design Engineering (WCDE) Design Champions represent six engineering departments, the Centre for Teaching Excellence, the Department of Co-operative Education and Career Action, and Waterloo Professional Development. The Design Champions promote the use of design cases:
- They represent their departmental needs to WCDE, and promote the use of cases within their department
- They identify potential case sources, such as work term reports and indutry contacts.
- They identify potential case implementation opportunities: courses and course concepts.
- They identify the potential for integrating concepts between courses using cases.
The Design Champions work closely with faculty members in their departments, and help WCDE staff write cases. Design Champions meet each term to bring each other up-to-date on case needs, recent case development and implementation, and to look for opportunities for collaboration.
