The "2+2.4" format originally presented at NUFE for the fourth Environment and Business (ENBUS) NUFE cohort is no longer recommended because it inhibits student integration, disrupts the fourth year projects, and interferes with the preferred sequence of co-op work terms.
Recommended schedule - Environment and Business co-op
The Bachelor of Environmental Studies (BES) Environment and Business co-op plan is a five work term plan in which four satisfactory work-term reports have to be written. This is the plan that all Canadian students are enrolled in.
The expected format for NUFE 2+2 students in Environment and Business co-op is one work term in China with NUFE, three work terms in Canada, a required six-week Renison English program at UWaterloo when students arrive in July, 20 academic courses at UWaterloo, and a total of 12 ENBUS courses. Requirements are published in the Undergraduate Studies Academic Calendar.
