The Environment Students' Society mission is to educate and provide resources and opportunities to you! Our weekly meetings are available for any undergraduate to attend and speak about their concerns. These meetings help us to move forward with ideas, issues, policies and programs.
Our Services
- The Environment Students' Society Office - Environment 1 (EV1) 138A - our base of operations
- Many social events each term, in-person and remote!
- Locker rentals in all Environment buildings (on hold)
- Board game rentals
- Environment novelty items such as t-shirts, sweatshirts/pants and much more (term dependent)
- The ES Coffee Shop which is dedicated to offering premium quality coffee and foods while maintaining high environmental standards, located in EV1 138 (returning Fall 2021 for a modified reopening)
- The ES Lounge for studying, relaxing and hanging out. The lounge can also be booked for events.
- Not sure what's going on around campus? No worries, our Vice-President Education works hard to stay up-to-date on campus announcements that way you don't have to!

The nomination period for ESS elections is now open! Submit the form (PDF) to the ESS office before Friday March 22 to be considered for elections.
Call for WESEF Proposals
Have an idea on how to improve student life in ENV? The Waterloo Environment Students' Endowment Fund (WESEF) is now accepting proposals!
Since 1997, WESEF has provided funding for a variety of student-led projects and initiatives. From lab equipment, events, updates to student spaces, new tech, and more! Between $30, 000 - $40,000 of funds available this term.
