Day-maker. Experience guide. First impressionist. Advisor. Resource.
The primary role of the ENV Student Ambassador is to give tours, largely at Open House events, which cover the entire Faculty of Environment. Ambassadors can also expect to represent their program in booths, help run check-in stations, participate in presentations and panels, contribute to surveys and focus groups, and help with set up and take down of events.
An ENV Student Ambassador is a volunteer position, requiring you to participate in at least 2 of 3 terms’ activities from September – July. You must be able to commit to at least 30 hours of your time over the course of your contract (training hours included). In addition to creating memorable moments for our guests, you'll also receive valuable training on how to be an effective Ambassador, which goes beyond just this role. You'll improve your teamwork, public speaking, event planning, and marketing skills through this position.
