The World’s Challenge Challenge (WCC) at the University of Waterloo is a competition where teams pick one of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (also known as Global Goals) and propose a solution. Teams that have been selected will make a 5 to 7 minute presentation on their proposed solution followed by a quick Q&A session.
The winning team will win $3,000 and will move on to compete against other schools at the International WCC held at Western University in London, Ontario. The winning team of the International round will win $30,000, the second place team will win $15,000 and the third place team will win $7,500. The World’s Challenge Challenge is a collaboration between Entrepreneurship @ Environment, Waterloo International and Western University.

Eligibility
Only teams of two to four students will be accepted, preferably from at least two different disciplines.This competition is open to undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Waterloo. Participating students may be full-time or part-time and applications are welcome from every faculty. We encourage your team to bring together individuals from diverse backgrounds or areas of study and review the scoring rubric (pdf).
