There is an energy in the Faculty of Environment's halls. This autumn we are excited because we are starting the next phase of a transformational change initiative we are calling Environment 2035, and it is already impacting our programming in big ways.
 
We piloted the first interdisciplinary capstone course which brought students together from Environment, Engineering and Math to design sustainability solutions. We also launched a new climate change diploma for all Waterloo graduate students. We are excited to share these developments and our renewed vision with you in this issue.
 
Last, but possibly the biggest news, we are pleased to showcase the 2024 alumni award winners and share their inspirational contributions. The incredible accomplishments of our alumni continue to impact the Faculty in many ways. Congratulations to this year’s recipients!
