Food Services prioritizes the campus community's needs and we work closely with them to help create healthy, nourishing foods you will enjoy. We have a registered dietitian on staff to support the community members in making informed and nutritious food choices.

The best meals are found in the most unexpected places, yet in the heart of everything! An often overlooked eatery on campus is tucked away in South Campus Hall, home to the WStore, The Writing Centre, Velocity Start, and a beloved Canadian classic—Tim Hortons. Just up the steps, a world of flavour hides behind two big blue entryway doors. An aroma of soups and spices from The Whet Noodle and hot curries from Masala fill the air. Lining the Marketplace, you will also find Pizza Pizza, Paramount Lebanese Kitchen and Ah-So Sushi.

A common breakfast item that continues to produce smiles on student’s faces despite its simplicity—the bagel. Bagels are made from the basic bread ingredients of flour, yeast, salt, and sweetening such as liquid malt, which is what head baker Paul Gatcke has been using to make his bagels for 10 years since bagel production began at the Village Bakery here at the University of Waterloo.
