The Future Cities Institute supported the Experience Ventures Ideathon, hosted and sponsored by GHD at their Waterloo office and organized by the team at Conestoga College.
Final presentations reflected weeks of focused work, with students pitching creative, well-considered ideas to a real panel. Sharp questions from the judges and strong responses from the teams made for a compelling close to the program. Seeing students work across disciplines and grow comfortable presenting to industry professionals was a highlight of the day.
Experience Ventures is powered by the University of Calgary's Hunter Hub for Entrepreneurial Thinking and offered at Conestoga College. It connects students with real-world innovators through short-term, structured entrepreneurial thinking placements designed to build practical skills.
