Anne Innis Dagg has won the Lane Anderson Award for excellence in science writing, sharing the distinction with writer Caroline Fox. Anne's children's book,
5 Giraffes, introduces children to captive and wild giraffes, information garnered through her ground-breaking research, and the first person to study African animals in the wild. Anne will be donating her $10,000 prize to Save the Giraffes.
