Why I took a Women’s Studies course
I’m a third-year literature student. I enrolled in WS 102 because I’m interested in a bit of everything, and I’ve been wondering what exactly feminism is about for a while, so taking a course in Women’s Studies sounded really invigorating to me (plus it fulfills one of my breadth requirements!). I’ve also grown up in a family of four girls, so women’s issues are close to my heart, and I wanted to get in touch with what’s going on both socially and academically. I really enjoy the investigative and analytical nature of Women’s Studies, and recommend it to anyone interested in current social issues.
