Together with the Graduate Student Association – University of Waterloo (GSA-UW), Iranian Student Association of Waterloo and Waterloo’s five faculties, the Faculty of Engineering and Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs (GSPA) are hosting a campus vigil on Wednesday, October 5 to show our solidarity and to demonstrate support for our Iranian community.
*The vigil gathering will begin at 4:45 pm to support candle distribution; programming will begin at 5:00 pm.
Programming will include remarks by Jeff Casello, Associate Vice-President, Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs, Siva Sivoththaman, Associate Dean, Graduate Studies, Faculty of Engineering, other senior representatives from the faculties, Sorour Yekeh (PhD student in the Faculty of Engineering and student representative for the Iranian Student Association of Waterloo), and Iranian faculty member Ehsan Toyserkani (Faculty of Engineering).
