John Loncar is a PhD student in the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Waterloo. John is also a licensed Professional Engineer with over 25 years of diverse industry experience. During his industry career, John has completed a Master of Mechanical Engineering & Graduate Diploma in Green Energy at University of Waterloo in 2018, Master of Business Administration at Wilfrid University in 2005, and holds Certified Energy Manager, Certified Measurement & Verification Professional and Certified Sustainable Development Professional from the Association of Energy Engineers.
Through constant learning and leading in the circular economy, John has spent most of his working career advocating energy conservation and engineered green solutions by means of sustainable design and operation: leveraging net zero construction philosophies & tactics, and facility management exploring opportunities to improve operational efficiencies while promoting positive customer experience and satisfaction.
