General principles for all technical infrastructure and services
In the absence of specific exclusions for a given area of technical infrastructure or service, these principles apply to all TIS supported technical infrastructure and services:
- As needed, and in response to, or in anticipation of demand and expectations, expand the following components of the infrastructure or service, in support of the University Mission:
- Capacity
- Performance
- Availability
- Capabilities
- Security
- Usability
- Supportability
- Keep infrastructure current and within vendor support.
- Deploy technical infrastructure and services in a manner which meets established Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs) in the event of disaster.
