Deactivation of unsponsored/unclaimed WatIAM accounts

UPDATE

What is happening? IST has re-activated the WatIAM accounts that were deactivated on June 12, 2024, temporarily. These accounts will remain activated (with no action from the owners) for at least 5 weeks.  IST will be reviewing the accounts in the next few weeks to proactively determine which reactivated accounts require re-sponsoring going forward.

What do you need to do? If you are aware of a WatIAM account that was deactivated, and is still required, please submit the following form to have the account sponsored and an appropriate expiry date set: https://uwaterloo.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/2/group/410/create/317

More information will be shared in the next 1-2 weeks.


What is happening? Earlier today, unsponsored/unclaimed generic WatIAM accounts began to be deactivated.

Action required: Those that still require access to or use of an impacted account can contact their Faculty IT Service Desk or submit a ticket via the IST Help Portal to have the accounts sponsored and reactivated.
