Significant service outages to occur March 3, including WatIAM, Grouper, WCMS, Skype

Thursday, February 22, 2024

Additional impact: Wi-Fi and wired network access control

  • Authentication servers will be migrated and will be unavailable for a short time between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. (noon). Clients will not be able to log in to Wi-Fi or use wired 802.1x authentication during the outage. Connected users will continue to work until they roam to a new access point, or the re-authentication timer expires.

What is happening? Resources that currently reside on an aging load balancer will be migrated to new equipment.

When is this happening? Sunday, March 3, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. It is not expected that the entire maintenance window will be used, but there will be several service outages throughout this time.
