Transitioning from Stream (Classic) to Stream (on SharePoint)

What is happening? Stream (Classic) is being retired and replaced by Stream (on SharePoint).

When is it happening? Stream (Classic) will be retired on February 15, 2024.

What is the impact?

  • Clients will be able to upload videos to Stream (Classic) until May 15, 2023.
  • Videos uploaded to Stream (Classic) by May 15, 2023, will remain available, but set to “read-only” until they are migrated by Information Systems & Technology (IST) to Stream (on SharePoint).
  • Details regarding the migration of videos from Stream (Classic) to Stream (on SharePoint) will be communicated later.

What do users need to do?

  • Start using the new Stream (on SharePoint).
  • In preparation for the migration, please delete any videos that are no longer needed from Stream (Classic).
