What is happening? The University will decommissionWatSAFE, both the mobile app and desktop notifications, by the end of February 2025.
What is the impact?
- IST will remove WatSAFE desktop notifications from all IST-managed PC and Mac machines on February 14, 2025.
- IT admins will be responsible for removing the WatSAFE desktop notification tool from non-IST managed machines by the end of February.
- Individuals can be encouraged to remove the WatSAFE app from their personal devices.
- The WatSAFE mobile app will be removed from both Android and iOS app stores.
Reminder: If you have not yet done so, please download the Regroup Mobile emergency notification app. Regroup’s AdhocAlert tool can also be installed on managed and non-managed desktops.
