The Project Management Office (PMO) operates within the Office of the Vice-President, Administration and Finance (VPAF). As a PMO, we strive to be the leading centre of excellence for project management, and the preferred resource for managing delivery of successful enterprise initiatives at the University of Waterloo.
We carry out our vision by providing resources and expertise to groups in the broader campus community. Our scope of responsibilities includes such activities as:
- providing experienced and knowledgeable project managers to manage large and complex projects or programs
- sharing skills and expertise to mentor or consult with project managers throughout the University who are managing projects and/or programs
- offering workshops designed to help develop and advance the project management skills of the University community
- providing leadership for the People, Process and Projects (P3) Community of Practice

Updates to the Website
We are excited to say that we have a number of changes planned for the website. First, is the move of the site to WCMS 3. The new content types and functionality means a change to the look and feel. We have added a few things and removed a few things during the move. Second, we will be introducing Agile and other relevant content to the site. Keep our eye out for changes in the coming months -- exciting changes are happening.
