The MFCF/DOM client computer rollover program provides administrative staff members with a primary workstation renewal every six years.
- staff members are eligible for a Math Faculty approved standard laptop configuration and monitor(s). These are the recommended configurations that are based on campus-wide IT standards, and these are the only configurations that have received Dean's budget approval. The OS platform will be determined by the department managers.
- approved equipment includes:
- Dell Pro 14" with extended 3 year warranty, or
- MacBook Pro 14" laptop with extended 3 year warranty
- one 27" or two 24" Dell monitors with appropriate video cables
- Docking station
- any other peripherals will have to be purchased by the department
- approved equipment includes:
- computing equipment for newly created administrative positions must be approved by the department. The initial cost will be covered by the department and will become part of the rollover after six years. Staff filling existing positions will use the existing equipment until that equipment is due to be replaced.
- UW will provide only one workstation and peripherals for office use. Any home equipment is the responsibility of the employee.
