The Centre for Mental Health Research and Treatment is a well-appointed, modern facility that accommodates psychological testing, individual, couples, family, and group treatment, live supervision, and state-of-the-art video recording and streaming for teaching and supervision purposes. We host client case management software which integrates all aspects of client care. Therapists and supervisors have ready access to multiple work stations that allow for consultation and case administration in a secure setting that ensures client confidentiality. We also have a well-stocked, ever-growing library that maintains a current collection of materials relevant to best clinical practice.

The Centre for Mental Health Research and Treatment provides psychological services in a warm, pleasant, and professional atmosphere. Our state-of-the-art facility has allowed us to attract excellent clinical adjunct supervisors and to develop a variety of richly interesting in-house practicum opportunities for our students that will continue to evolve as we strive to ensure our students are the leaders of tomorrow in clinical practice and research.

Equipment & resources

All treatment rooms feature one-way mirrors behind which are comfortably appointed areas in which supervisors can observe sessions live. Each room also features state-of-the-art video monitoring equipment that enables students to confidentially video record or live stream sessions on a secure, fire-walled in-house server. This capability allows off-campus supervisors to securely access full sessions from their own workstations and for sessions to be streamed directly to Centre for Mental Health Research and Treatment classroom video-projectors so students can observe clinical work live and discuss it as it unfolds in real time. This experiential learning is a hallmark of our Doctoral programme.
