The University of Waterloo Department of Communications and Public Affairs has written a feature article about the startup company Lumotune created by three recent Waterloo Nanotechnology Engineering graduates. Their goal is to create large display screens with nanomaterials. The full article can be read at this link on the Waterloo News website.

On Friday, March 22, 2013, the fourth annual Nanotechnology Engineering Fourth Year Design Symposium was held. This event showcases design projects from the nanotechnology engineering program senior class.  Twenty-one projects in the theme areas of Nano-Fluidics and Biotechnology, Nano-Electronics and Photonics and Nano Functional materials were presented by 81 students throughout the day.

The poster presentation competition rewarded three teams: 

A team of fourth-year nanotechnology engineering students took top prize in the VeloCity Venture Fund & Demo Day 2013 competition on Tuesday, March 16.
