Age Friendly Across the Age Spectrum
You're invited to celebrate and build on Waterloo's successes as an age-friendly community.
Learn how we can foster healthy and active aging across the spectrum of ages from youth to seniors.
This year’s round-table discussion will involve children and youth and focus on transportation, respect and social inclusion, accessibility and outdoor spaces and housing.
Keynote speakers:
- John Lewis, PhD, Associate Professor, School of Planning, Faculty of Environment, University of Waterloo
- Arlene Groh, Chair of the mayor’s advisory committee on age friendly Waterloo
Our keynote speakers co-authored a chapter of the recent book, Age-friendly cities and communities in an international comparison.
Their chapter is titled It’s About the People: Seniors’ Perspectives on Age-friendly Communities. Copies of this chapter will be distributed to participants and the authors will be available to answer questions.
Everyone is invited to this free event, but please register, as spaces are limited.
