At the Network for Aging Research Fall 2018 Event an expert panel provided information and tips on how to incorporate an interdisciplinary approach and knowledge translation methods into grant proposals. After the presentations, attendees formed groups with others that had similar interests in aging research based the following NAR priority areas:
- Support for family and caregivers
- Social isolation
- Aging in place
- Mobility
- Care coordination
Each group submitted a research question and corresponding plan. The submission from the social isolation group was the recipient of the $2000 prize to support the completion and submission of a grant proposal for the NAR January 2019 Catalyst grant call.
