By Staff Office of AdvancementEvery year, our community gathers for Alumni Weekend, where alumni can reconnect with Waterloo, meet up with old classmates and celebrate their milestone anniversaries. But 2020 had other plans in store.
When we were forced to cancel this in-person event, we knew that we couldn’t let these milestone anniversaries go uncelebrated! In September, when alumni gathered virtually for Alumni Black and Gold Day at home, we took them down memory lane.
Watch our video to help us celebrate alumni observing their 25th, 50th or 55th anniversary this year. Do these scenes bring back some memories?

A message from President Goel
The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg, and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations.
