The flexible nature of Mhari’s time at GEDI allowed her to see gaps in their current system, making her an asset for the company’s future. Her coworkers were helpful on the job, and were able to provide connections for future positions. Mhari cites her time at GEDI as being a great resumé builder.
“Lots of people don’t know what PACS is, and explaining the versatility of the program as well as the various applications of conflict resolution is a great way to introduce them to the idea.”
During another co-op term in her third year, Mhari had the chance to work for SRM Architects as an admin assistant. Her time there was spent doing many organizational things around the office, and she got to dip her toes into several roles. Mhari learned about architecture in a way that she never would have expected to and had the chance to learn adobe software in the process.
For future PACS students looking to follow in Mhari’s footsteps, get ready to embrace the flexibility of the program and practice pitching those aspects to employers.
