During her two terms there, Nour worked as a Premium Service Manager, which was a specialized customer support position. Most of her coworkers had been there for over ten years, and were wary, at first, about having a co-op student in their department, but soon warmed up to Nour as the term progressed.
While she was there, Nour handled between five and ten international accounts. Nour recounted being nervous during her first few weeks as she started to handle important clients, but she was able to incorporate her PACS learning into her work. Being considerate, quick on her feet, and empathetic are some qualities that she attributed to her PACS degree. Her degree was also helpful in addressing conflicts that came up around the office, as well as when she was aiding international clients, where cultural differences play a major role in meeting the client’s needs.
It’s important to speak up, ask questions, and try to learn new skills whenever possible. Learning on the job is a great way to develop important abilities for the future.
