We are very pleased to announce that two of our undergraduate students received departmental awards at this year's spring convocation ceremony.
Douglas Tennant was awarded the Religious Studies Departmental Award. Douglas graduated with a BA in Religious Studies with a World Religions Specialization.
Claris Lam received the St. Jerome's University Religious Studies Departmental Award. Claris graduated with a BA in Religious Studies and a minor in English Language and Literature.

We are very pleased to announce that three of our PhD students have been successful in the SSHRC competition!
Chris Miller has been awarded a two-year SSHRCC doctoral award, Doaa Shalabi has been awarded one of the prestigious Canada Graduate Scholarships, and Sahver Kuzucuoglu has been awarded a 3-year year SSHRC fellowship.

On Wednesday, February 27, the Federation of Students will officially launch its new student-run equity service: Racial Advocacy for Inclusion, Solidarity and Equity, or RAISE.
Congratulations to Religious Studies PhD student Christopher Emory-Moore on winning the 2017-2018 PhD Graduate Award for the CSSR Essay Contest! His essay was on “Present Peace, Future Freedom: Children’s Meditation Instruction in Two Diasporic Tibetan Buddhist Lineages”
