Thank you all Renison residents who completed our start-of-term feedback survey a couple weeks ago!
We are pleased to announce the winners from the survey draw! Congratulations to Noah W. and Harper N.! Both Noah and Harper are the lucky winners each of a $50 Amazon gift card!
We are grateful to have a total of 82 residents completing the survey out of a total 208, for a 39% response rate. Your feedback makes a big difference for us as we work to enhance the Renison community for all students.
We heard many useful things from you, including:
- Your overall residence experience has been pretty great so far! 88% of respondents are satisfied/very satisfied with their experience. We heart you too!
- You also had a lot of love for your residence room (89%), social spaces (84%), cleanliness of residence (76%), and our Moose Tracks Connection Desk (75%).
- We know we have some more work to do to continue to diversify our food options in the Cafeteria. We were so happy to hear some of your favourite meals with us included sushi bowls, bao pork buns, the poutine bar, orange jerk chicken, and chicken pot pies. Feedback is mixed on our fish dishes, falafel and rice bowl, and tofu dishes.
- Renison events continue to be a big hit! Last year, residents ranked a 79% satisfaction rate with events, and we climbed to 82% this year! Some of your favourite events so far have been the bonfire nights, karaoke, college dinners, and Wind-In!
- Last year, 36% of residents shared that the residence environment was excellent for being a place that is include of all culture backgrounds. This year, we grew to 54% "excellent" and 34% "good". We hope the launch of our Link Inclusion Lounge and our events for equity-deserving student communities have been a positive way we have been able to reinforce inclusion in your community.
- 100% of you know at least one Residence Don by name and 92% of you feel like you belong as part of our Renison community. Amazing! We are also happy to know that 88% of you feel like you belong as part of our Renison community. You truly do! 91% of you also are friends with at least two other people on your residence floor - hooray!
- We are thankful to know that that 0% of residents felt Renison was poor in creating a safe culture, free from any sexual harassment or sexual violence. We're pleased to see 54% of survey respondents consider Renison as excellent, 34% ranked good, 7% ranked "fair", and 5% ranked Renison as being adequate in this regard.
