Student Representatives needed for Renison's Anti-Harassment & Discrimination Committee

Join Renison's Anti-Harassment & Discrimination College Committee
Are you a student studying at Renison? Consider getting involved this Fall with Renison's Anti-Harassment and Discrimination Committee!

The Anti-Harassment and Discrimination Committee is seeking membership in the following areas. 

  • One representative from the Bachelor of Social Work Student Council 
  • One Renison-registered degree student (example: Social Development Studies student)
  • One non-degree student (example: English Language Institute student)
  • One staff from Student Affairs
  • One full-time faculty

This committee has been long-standing at Renison and has been established to:

  1. Assist the Harassment & Discrimination Officer (HDO) in providing an educational program for the college: and
  2. Review the Harassment & Discrimination, and Abuse Prevention Policy and Procedure on a regular basis (at minimum, annually) and make recommendations to senior administration for changes in the policy or procedures outlined within.

Terms of membership will be two years except for degree student members who will serve a one-year term, and non-degree (CAPE) students who will serve per academic term. This committee typically may meet once/term but will have sub-committee work to complete assigned responsibilities.
