Through hands-on coursework and field research, University of Waterloo biology student Bethany Duford discovered her passion for wildlife biology. After switching from biochemistry to biology, experiential learning in ornithology and animal physiology led her to an honours thesis on bird banding and sexual size dimorphism, helping shape her path toward graduate studies and a career in wildlife research.
