To celebrate the 2023 Chinese New Year (Year of the Rabbit), the Faculty of Science would like to hold the annual celebration event on Friday, January 20^th, 2023. All current and former Science 2+2/2+1+1 students are welcome to join us. We will have several raffle prizes for you to win while enjoying a variety selection of food and beverages.

Please register to reserve a seat and participate in the raffle before 9 am, Wednesday, January 18th, 2023.

To celebrate the 2025 Chinese New Year (Year of the Snake), the Faculty of Science would like to hold the annual celebration event on Monday, January 2^7th, 2025. All current and former Science 2+2/2+1+1 students are welcome to join us. We will have several raffle prizes for you to win while enjoying a variety selection of food and beverages. Looking forward to the exciting lion dances!

No registration is required. Please arrive 10 minutes in advance for check-in.

Faculty of Science will be hosting an in-person reception on campus at 4:30- 5:30 PM, September 20, 2023.  Food and drinks will be provided. Check-in is required. This event is a welcome for the new Science 2+2/2+1+1 students who have started their study at the University of Waterloo in Fall 2023. Join us to meet your peers, faculty members and staff who have been teaching and supporting you. Share your experiences and make new connections!  

To celebrate the 2023 Mid-Autumn Festival on September 29, the Faculty of Science would like to recognize the annual celebration (mooncake pick-up only) on Wednesday, September 27^th, 2023. Mooncakes, snacks and beverages are available for pickup. 

Due to safety measures, registration is required.

The Faculty of Science invites you to an in-person welcome reception on campus, taking place from 4:30 to 6:00 PM on July 31, 2025. Delicious Canadian food and drinks will be available, and check-in is required upon arrival. This event is a warm welcome to the newly arrived Science 2+2 and 2+1+1 students beginning their journey at the University of Waterloo. Come connect with fellow students, faculty, and staff who are here to support you. It's a great chance to share experiences and build new relationships!
