Annual awareness-raising events centered on sexual violence are part of the University of Waterloo’s prevention strategy, supporting its goal of promoting a consent culture on campus. These events provide important opportunities to intentionally generate dialogue about sexual violence, advance consent literacy, and build a campus community that prioritizes sexual violence prevention, health, and well-being.

We’re also thrilled to launch our new Trauma-Informed Yoga programming, with multiple sessions open to students and staff/faculty. Led by SVPRO Case Manager and Certified Yoga Instructor, Taneah Ugwuegbula, these gentle 45-minute Hatha yoga sessions welcome all experience levels and emphasize mindful movement, breath, choice, and creating a safe and supportive space to connect with yourself.
