AquaHacking 2017 semi-final pitch competition

Attend the AquaHacking semi-finals 

Join us on June 21, from 5-9 p.m. at the Centre for International Governance Innovation as aspiring water entrepreneurs pitch their solutions to problems facing Lake Erie. The five winning teams of the semi-finals will move on to compete in the final competition on September 13, 2017, where there's $75,000 in prize money available, in addition to access to local accelerators and mentors for winning teams. 

The second International Conference on Amphibious Architecture, Design and Engineering 2017 (ICAADE) will unite academics, practitioners, professionals and policymakers from in the exchange of knowledge on amphibious flood mitigation strategies, inviting collaboration among researchers, business, institutions and governments around the world. Flood mitigation and climate change adaptation will require the development of new housing types and retrofit strategies in order to maintain community integrity in populated regions where flooding is expected to increase.

In this Water Institute seminar, professor Sascha Oswald from the University of  Potsdam's Institute of Earth and Environmental Sciences presents, "Detailed monitoring of microplastic particles in an urban water course facilitated by a novel, powerful detection method - an approach for identifying dynamic inputs of microplastics."
