Since many eye and vision problems can't be detected by just observing your child, it is important for all children to have yearly eye examinations, starting when they are 6 months old. Identifying eye and vision problems early is necessary to ensure your child’s visual development and learning abilities are not negatively impacted.
Our Pediatric Optometrists are passionate about children's eye care. We use special tests developed for infants and children - your child does not need to read an eye chart for us to test their vision!

Children should have their first eye examination when they are between 6 to 9 months old because this is often when symptoms of serious eye conditions first appear.
