The power of a single action can create immense change in society. As individuals and groups, we are all connected. Just like a stone thrown into a pond, our ideas, thoughts, and actions, can cause a ripple which has far-reaching consequences and impacts. The goal of TEDxQueensU (held entirely virtually) was to ensure that the delegates leave the conference feeling that they have the power to create change, and that no action is too small to impact the world around them.
In her presentation, Ambika Opal explored the idea of access to energy as a catalyst for many forms of international development and presented tangible examples from her past experience at the United Nations Development Programme Cambodia and current projects at the Waterloo Institute for Sustainable Energy.
