Hello everybody to our weekly newsletter! We are on Week 9 of the Technovation Curriculum!

📆Register for our final workshop on April 6th!

Time: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Location: Google Waterloo,  51 Breithaupt St, Kitchener, ON N2H 5G5 - in the community space!

Our agenda includes pitch development, a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) checkup, and a second presentation of the learning journey. You will also have lots of time to work on your project and talk to mentors/coaches throughout the day.

To attend, RSVP here before Wednesday, April 3rd @ 4:00 pm: Technovation Girls Working Session #3. Parents and siblings are welcome to join!

📆Save the Date - Live Regional Pitch Event

The Waterloo Chapter is hosting a Live Regional Pitch Event on Saturday, May 4th, 2024, 10 am - 3 pm at the University of Waterloo! 

What will be at the Live Regional Pitch Event?

  • A chance to pitch your project to a live panel of judges to receive scoring and feedback
  • A project showcase from Waterloo Chapter Teams
  • An inspirational talk from a female entrepreneur
  • Lunch and Snacks!
  • Team photos, swag, and certificates of recognition 
  • Prizes! For Best Pitch, Best Idea, Best User Design (and a Grand Prize Winner!)

Registration for the Live Regional Pitch Event opens on April 3rd! We will send out details on how to register in our April 3rd newsletter. 

Checklist

This week you will learn how to create and record your pitch and technical videos. You will also find a useful resource in the weekly checklist about meeting with an online coach!

We have created a Week 9 Checklist for you based on the curriculum.  These Weekly Checklists are made to help you stay on track by covering all the milestones your team should be striving to reach each week. The Technovation slideshow is also linked in the checklist!

👥👥Teams
Mentor(s) and each member of your team must be FULLY registered before your team can submit their project. Please make sure that all team members have completed their registration on the Technovation website

Individual reminder emails have been sent out to participants with incomplete registrations. If you have NOT registered on the Technovation website please contact us

It is also important for all participants to be registered with the Waterloo Chapter. To register with the Waterloo Chapter, sign up at Technovation Girls Waterloo.
