Hello everybody to our weekly newsletter! We are on Week 6 of the Technovation Curriculum!

👥 Teams
This is the LAST WEEK TO REGISTER YOUR TEAM & MENTORS! To be eligible to participate in the competition your mentor(s) and each member of your team must be registered by Wednesday, March 13th at 6:59 pm ET.  Please make sure that all teams are registered on the Technovation website. It is also important for all participants to be registered with the Waterloo Chapter AND Technovation Global. Individual team statu s and reminder emails went out this week.

✅ Checklist

We covered this week’s material in our Monthly Workshop last Saturday! You can access the resources from the workshop on our website.

This week you will learn about storing information and integrating AI models into your project.  You will also learn about marketing/user adaption of your product and how to calculate revenue (Seniors Only) for your business. This week's curriculum also emphasises the importance of making a positive impact with your project and the ethics of technology and AI.

We have created a Week 6 Checklist for you based on the curriculum.  These Weekly Checklists are made to help you stay on track by covering all the milestones your team should be striving to reach each week. The Technovation slideshow is also linked in the checklist!

📆 Save the Date - Live Regional Pitch Event

The Waterloo Chapter is hosting a Live Regional Pitch Event on Saturday, May 4th, 2024 at the University of Waterloo!

What is a Live Regional Pitch Event?

Live Regional Pitch Events are a way to celebrate what you have learned and showcase your projects! It also acts as the first round of judging - winners of the live pitch event will move on to the Technovation semi-finals.

We will also be giving out awards such as Best Pitch, and Best User Design to teams that participate in the Waterloo Chapter Live Pitch Event!

Stay tuned for more information!
