A lecture on the Iceland volcanoes

Tuesday, January 25, 2011 (all day)

It was a packed house at Steamworks Brewery in Vancouver's Gastown district on January 25th as more than 150 Waterloo alumni and friends came together to enjoy a lecture on the Iceland volcanoes presented by retired uWaterloo professor, Dr. Alan Morgan.

Before and after the lecture — which featured breathtaking photographs and riveting content regarding the Eyjafjallajokull volcano that erupted in the spring of 2010 — alumni mingled and munched. Dr. Barry Warner, Chair of the Earth and Environmental Sciences Department was host for the evening. Thank you Vancouver! We hope to see such an amazing turnout again next time!
