University of Waterloo President and Vice Chancellor Feridun Hamdullahpur invites you to experience the excitement of Waterloo’s entrepreneurial ecosystem at the 2015 Toronto Alumni Reception featuring a live pitch competition!
This event will provide insight into how Waterloo brings innovative and world-changing ideas to the global market place. Learn about the entrepreneurial communities thriving at Waterloo- Velocity, GreenHouse, Conrad Centre, Accelerator Centre, Capstone, the Waterloo Innovation Summit and so many more.
Alumni are invited to play an interactive role in selecting the competition winner while having the opportunity to network with the companies and fellow alumni.

About Velocity:
From idea to product development to commercialization, Velocity provides the knowledge, tools, space and network that startups and entrepreneurs need for success. Velocity is a leading entrepreneurship program from the University of Waterloo, made up of on-campus and off-campus programs, including the Velocity Residence, Velocity Alpha, Velocity Science, Velocity Garage, Velocity Foundry and the Velocity Fund.
Velocity knows that every startup begins with an idea that takes the team on a journey of ups and downs and forging new trails. The journey is winding and hard, but completely worth it.
There is no cost to attend this event but registration in advance is required, and space is limited. If you are bringing a guest, their full name must be provided when registering.
