It’s hard to fathom that ten years have elapsed since my first semester as a wide-eyed teenager.
If you had tried to guess the career for which I was preparing myself while studying at the University of Waterloo, you would have been hard pressed to come up with an answer.
When I left UWaterloo for grad school, I could not have known the road ahead. I was off to make a difference in the lives of individuals and families.
On November 10th, 2016, we held a discussion between local LGBTQ activists and members of the Islamic community in response to the Orlando Nightclub Massacre—the deadliest incidence of violence against lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people in U.S. history.
Great reunion, great chats, great memories! Graduates of the School of Urban and Regional Planning (SURP) came together on Saturday, October 29, 2016 to celebrate their 35th year since convocation.

Like many of my peers, my time at the University of Waterloo can be summarized as a unique juxtaposition of science and innovation.
If you were to ask me where I saw myself in the future during my first year at the University of Waterloo, I most definitely would have had a different answer than what my reality is today.
