The University of Waterloo is known as one of the top universities in Canada, especially for Math and Engineering. But few people realize that UWaterloo has a Department of Drama and Speech and Communication that also has a great reputation.
My name is Jenny McMinn and I graduated from UWaterloo with a BES in 2003 and a BArch in 2005.
Jason Hawreliak (Ph.D., 2013) is an Assistant Professor of Game Studies at Brock University’s Centre for Digital Humanities. He is also a co-founder and editor of the online game studies periodical First Person Scholar.
This upcoming winter, I will begin my third year of Arts and Business with a major in Psychology.
I started with a world-class education and took the scenic route to entrepreneurship. I graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1998 with a degree in mechanical engineering.
I am a fourth year Therapeutic Recreation student and I am currently on my last co-op term working for Alumni Relations.
The Games Institute officially came into being in June 2011.
In 2010, when I decided to move from Iran to Canada my goal was to graduate with a professional degree from one of the best Canadian universities, and that is why I chose Waterloo!
On my first co-op work term, I had the great opportunity to work for Alumni Relations on international projects and events for our worldwide chapters. It was an eye opening experience that really pushed me towards further international work.
