In attending the games, we joined an enthusiastic crowd of Warrior fans to witness some outstanding on court action.

When people ask me what I do for a living, I always pause for a moment, wondering which of the many hats I wear best represents me.

On October 27, 2014, eight UWaterloo PhD and one BA Psychology grads from the late 1960’s and early 70’s plus partners, held a “mini-reunion” on a plantation house just outside of Nashville, Tenn.

I have no idea how it happened but I’ve somehow become a filmmaker. At least, I think I am. An actual filmmaker with many titles to his name told me recently after a screening of his film, “If you’ve made a film, you’re a filmmaker.”

At the Games Institute at the University of Waterloo, we understand that games can be used to motivate players to part-take in real world (aka non-game) activities.

The annual event of the University of Waterloo Alumni Shanghai Chapter was held on December 7, 2014. The theme was “Entrepreneurship." As UWaterloo is an incubator for innovations, we aimed to provide a platform for entrepreneurs to present their ventures and business ideas.

I never really thought about being an alumna during my first few years as a UWaterloo student. Working as a co-op student for Alumni Relations was definitely an eye opener for me. Who knew there was a whole extra chapter in our lives that would begin after convocation?
