Speaker: Carla Girolametto, Director of Innovation, Research and Clinical Trials at Grand River Hospital. 

This talk will focus on Ethics and Regulatory aspects of conducting research in a clinical setting with the involvement of Human Participants:  An interactive case study.

Carla Girolametto
Bio: Carla joined GRH in 2003 as a Clinical Research Coordinator with the opening of the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre. She took oversight of Clinical Trials in 2012, and became Director of the Innovation & Research program in 2018 . Carla holds a Master of Arts from the University of Venice in Italy, a Master of Science with a specialty in Clinical Research Administration from the George Washington University, U.S.A, and is currently working on her PhD at the University of Waterloo.
