The Operations Committee of CBB is responsible for planning and executing the activities of CBB and ensures that CBB provides interactions and functions that are useful to CBB members.
Committee members provide an ongoing exchange of information between their academic and research units and CBB, help promote CBB and communicate the Centre's activities to their departments, research groups and other colleagues at the University of Waterloo.
The committee is comprised of regular members of CBB and are appointed for an initial three year term that may be renewed. Student members of CBB are eligible to join the committee for an initial one year term that may be renewed.
Meetings are held once a term and are open to all members of CBB and CBB staff.

Associate Director, Professional Practice Center in Health Systems University of Waterloo, Waterloo, Canada Professor of Practice, School of Public Health and Health Systems Cross-appointed in Cheriton School of Computer Science and Statistics and Actuarial Science President and Founding Director, Canadian Personalized Healthcare Innovation Network Dr. Chen specializes in health data analytics, health systems interoperability, and mobile health. She is a founding director of the Canadian Personalized Healthcare Innovation Network. Her research focuses on developing interpretable machine learning models and explainable AI algorithms to accelerate real-world data extraction and real-world evidence generation in the healthcare and public health domain. She also co-leads the Professional Practice Centre for Health Systems at the University of Waterloo. Her research team was the recipient of the “Digital Health Innovation Award” presented by Canada Health Infoway at eHealth 2015 conference. The team was recognized for its Tele-Cardiac Rehab idea, which would provide patients with tools to help them manage cardiac rehab remotely and on their own time. Helen obtained her BA (Hon.) and MSc in Engineering Mechanics at Tsinghua University in Beijing, and her PhD in Computational Biomechanics at the University of Waterloo. |

Professor, University of Waterloo Alfred Yu is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and a Research Scientist at the Schlegel-UW Research Institute for Aging. He leads the Laboratory on Innovative Technology in Medical Ultrasound (LITMUS) at Waterloo and is the Director of the NSERC CREATE Program on "Next-Generation Innovations in Ultrasonics". Alfred is a Fellow of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM). His research has been recognized by various prestigious honors, including the IEEE Ultrasonics Early Career Investigator Award, the Frederic Lizzi Award, the Ontario Early Researcher Award, and various best paper prizes at conferences. He is Associate Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, & Frequency Control, an Editorial Board Member of Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology, and the Past Chair of the Medical Ultrasound Group of IEEE Ultrasonics Symposium. He also serves on the board of ultrasound professional societies. |

Ontario College of Pharmacists Professor in Pharmacy Innovation Associate Professor, University of Waterloo School of Pharmacy Kelly is an associate professor at the University of Waterloo’s School of Pharmacy. Her research includes novel ways to bring research findings to today’s busy medical clinics and pharmacy counters, namely through innovations in mobile technologies. After completing her pharmacy degree at the University of Alberta and a hospital residency at the London Health Sciences Centre, she moved to the University of British Columbia to do a PharmD, Master of Science degree and a post-doctoral fellowship. She has been at the University of Waterloo since 2011 |
